I use a couple of learning platforms, but I'm on O'Reilly more than anybody else. When you're there, you start learning. I'm never disappointed.I'm always learning. So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
Digital Camera Profiling
For digital photographers, the image starts with the digital camera, so it would seem to make sense to profile your camera to provide the most accurate color from the beginning. The challenge of building profiles for a digital camera, however, is that the lighting conditions can vary dramatically unless you are using the camera in a very controlled, studio environment. We prefer to control color in the camera by photographing in RAW capture mode and adjusting the white balance settings, which we find offers more. Even if you were capturing in JPEG mode, in most situations you could use a custom white balance setting in the camera in place of a custom profile.
