For many people, seeing their pictures immediately is the main attraction of digital photography. No longer must you drop the film off at a processing lab and wait. Once you get back to your computer, you can download the photos and view them immediately in full size. What's more, with the exception of RAW files, which require a brief conversion detour, digital images are already “developed,” so you can start working with them right away, whether you're going to upload them to a Web page, email them, or make prints.
