Becoming Familiar with Seller Central

Every ecommerce website has a backend available exclusively to sellers for listing products, managing inventory, communicating with buyers, and performing other administrative tasks. Amazon refers to its backend as Seller Central — a sophisticated interface that integrates all business functions required to successfully manage any size retail business with relative ease.

Before you start listing products, familiarize yourself with Seller Central, so you know your way around.

Finding Your Way around Seller Central

At first glance, Amazon Seller Central is deceptively simple (see Figure 4-1). Across the top is a header that contains the Amazon Seller Central logo; a notifications flag; the Marketplace Switcher; the search bar; options for accessing messages, help, and settings; and a menu bar for everything else.
