PVC Framing for Non-Weight-Bearing Scenery |

While polyvinyl chloride (PVC) pipe is commonly used in the “real world” for plumbing applications, its theatre applications have previously been limited to creating small diameter columns or other non-structural uses. Its modular nature and low cost make it ideal for scene shops that need inexpensive touring scenery — in our case frames for a scenic unit that can quickly be broken down for kansport by unskilled workers.
