It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.

Purpose: Assess the quality of a measurement system used in measuring the pounds of force before two electrical plugs safely can be pulled apart.
Method: Stress gage showing the force at disconnect.
Analysis technique: Gage repeatability and reproducibility (R&R).
Software: Minitab®
We will demonstrate how to do a Gage R&R by showing the screen navigation from Minitab version 16 and utilizing its “Assistant” menu feature that guides us in setting up an experiment, worksheet, and the analysis. We will have the three operators who work in the process measure seven different parts.
