So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
Set Up a Windows Media Center Extender Device
Microsoft is always moving ahead with its products, so eventually, you will be able to connect certain consumer electronic devices to your home network so you can use them as Media Center extenders. For example, some networked TVs or DVD players will be available to use as Media Center extenders. These types of extenders will be available in the future and should come with a remote control that has a green Media Center button.
To set up these devices as Media Center extenders, you should be able to follow these steps, which are similar but not identical to the ones for setting up Xbox 360 as a Media Center extender:
