WHEN YOU HAVE KIDS, you have games in the house. With Xbox 360, you’ve got the potential for dozens, if not hundreds, of games. You can buy them, download them, borrow them—kids have a way of finding any game out there that their friends are talking about.
It’s a good idea, then, to have a thorough understanding of game ratings and content descriptors so you know exactly what content is in the games your kids are playing. In this chapter, we’ll explain both ratings and context descriptors, plus give you a quick primer on some gaming language so you can stay informed as your kids play games online.
