Use the Xbox 360 Dashboard
After Xbox 360 is installed, you’ll be working with the Dashboard, a tabbed interface featuring five blades. Each blade offers a different section of Xbox 360 tools that you can use. The Dashboard displays when you turn on the Xbox console and there is no disc in the disc tray. Otherwise, you need to press the Xbox Guide button and then press the Y button on the controller or remote.
The five blades are as follows:
Xbox Live
Games
Marketplace
Media
System
Depending upon where you are in the Dashboard, you can adjust system settings, save games, access Media Center, and perform other tasks. You navigate through the blades using the arrow buttons on your remote control.
