When you’re ready to copy a movie to DVD, you’ll see two choices: Video DVD and Data DVD. For movies, you’ll want Video DVD. Media Center takes the video files you select and converts them to a video format recognized by standard DVD players. This makes playback easy on a DVD player, as well as on your computer.
Not all home DVD players can read and play recorded DVDs. Check your DVD player manual for more information if you run into trouble—don’t just give up because you think you’ve made a mistake.
