Activation in Microsoft Deployment Toolkit 2008
In MDT 2008, you automate the application of enterprise license keys and MAKs through the Deployment Workbench and Windows Deployment Wizard. You can further automate the process through modifications to the CustomSettings.ini file located in Control in the MDT 2008 distribution folder.
This section gives an overview of this process, which is covered in more detail in Chapter 12. During LTI preparation, the Windows Deployment Wizard asks for Windows Vista activation keys, as shown in Figure 11-3. The wizard inserts these keys during the LTI deployment process to automate the application of these keys during deployment.
