It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
Understanding Windows Firewall
Windows Firewall in Windows Vista is a significant advance over the Windows Firewall first introduced in Windows XP Service Pack 2. Table 27-1 illustrates a feature comparison between these two firewalls.
