The Windows Firewall in Windows Vista has been enhanced in several ways with more granular firewall rules, the ability to block both incoming and outgoing traffic, full support for IPv6, location-aware firewall profiles, network service hardening, and integrated IPsec protection. Using Group Policy, the netsh command, and scripts, administrators can easily manage the configuration of Windows Firewall on Windows Vista client computers across an enterprise.
