At Junior’s staff meeting on Monday morning, the race is top of the agenda. Sofia can’t help but notice how excited the executives are, describing how they’d watched the race on TV over the weekend. They are all die-hard, bike-racing fans and probably would have discussed the race regardless of the winner, but Rossa’s victory has them in a crazy buzz. It’s as if they’ve all had one-too-many lattes. Sofia had watched the end of the race to see who had won and has started the habit of checking the pro racing circuit on Sundays—to prepare for just this kind of meeting.
