Chapter 28 Results to Celebrate
Huddles, one-on-one meetings, and gemba walks are now part of Junior’s standard work. This morning he again parks in the back of the building—but in a parking spot far from the entrance to the prototype shop, where no one can be upset that he took a prime spot. He grabs his backpack off the passenger seat, makes the long walk to the door, and then slowly enters, surprised by how tired he feels. “I really need to get in better shape,” he thinks.
Inside he sees Penelope, who must have seen him park. She’s in the aisle waving at him as he enters: “Hello, Mr. Davanti, you’ve got to see what Rossa sent me. I just know that you had something to do with this.”
