Distributions of GNU/Linux often come without hardcopy reference manuals. However, online documentation has always been one of GNU/Linux's strengths. The manual (or man) and info pages have been available via the man utility since early releases. With GNU/Linux and the advent of the Internet, the sources of documentation have expanded.
