Dreamweaver CS3 (the current version of Dreamweaver) comes with built-in ColdFusion support. However, Dreamweaver CS3 was released several months before ColdFusion 8 was completed, and so the most up-to-date ColdFusion support could not be included in Dreamweaver when it shipped.
Fortunately, Dreamweaver allows updates and extensions to be installed at any time, and ColdFusion comes with an update file that you definitely should install.
Dreamweaver extensions are shipped as MXP files (a special extension format used by Dreamweaver, Adobe Flash, and more). To install the ColdFusion extensions, do the following:
