It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.

La SRE, fundamentalmente, es lo que ocurre cuando le pides a un ingeniero de software que diseñe una función de operaciones.1
Este capítulo se basa en la presentación que hice en la DrupalCon de Viena. Aquí exploraremos algunas soluciones de aprendizaje automático para algunas preguntas abiertas de la SRE:
¿Cómo automatizamos esas tareas repetitivas que sólo generan trabajo y que nadie quiere hacer?
¿Cómo miramos los datos y previsualizamos lo que va a ocurrir con nuestro sistema en el futuro?
¿Cómo reforzamos "la aplicación de la ingeniería de software a una función de operaciones"?
La automatización de los procesos operativos es un objetivo crítico que perseguimos. A medida que mejoran la inteligencia artificial (IA) y el aprendizaje automático, aumentan las tareas que podemos automatizar. Si conservamos los datos históricos para reaccionar programáticamente ante algo nuevo, podremos solucionar el problema de antemano porque el sistema nos avisará de lo que va a ocurrir en lugar de tener a alguien analizando manualmente los resultados pasados e intentando prever el futuro.
