Setting up a node

We will set up a Geth client that can be used to sync the entire blockchain transactions. It also provides the JSON-RPC interface to invoke any of the methods supported by the client software. The JSON-RPC interface can be used to perform several operations including deploying and invoking smart contracts.

The Geth client can be either built or installed using packages found in most platforms. Installation instructions for different platforms can be found at https://github.com/ethereum/go-ethereum/wiki/Building-Ethereum.
