It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
Ripple tokens as a currency bridge
Ripple can create a currency pair between any banks with the help of Ripple's own token, which is called XRP. Unlike any other traditional intermediary currency conversion, XRP doesn't require a bank account:
