Summary
In this chapter, we have investigated most of the optimization and enhancement techniques of blockchain for improving the scope of this technology. We began with the basic scalability issues of Bitcoin and proposed some solutions. We covered issues and proposed solutions for networking, consensus, and the application layer of the blockchain applications. Blockchain enhancement ideas were discussed later on in the chapter to explore future possibilities in the blockchain technology.
In the coming chapter, we will be discussing the security aspect of the blockchain technology in depth.
