Chapter 12 Step 9: What Are the Consequences of Closing the Gap?
Once a solution has been chosen to close the performance gap, performance coaches should reflect on the likely consequences that will be created by the solution. This step is akin to thinking forward, trying to anticipate the possible results or consequences of implementing a solution, and then averting negative side effects and maximizing positive side effects. Consequences may be individually focused, organizationally focused, or both.
