Turning Ordinary Direct Reflection into Polarized Reflection
Photographers oen prefer that a reection be polarized reection so that
they can manage it with a polarizing lter mounted on their camera lens. If
the reection is not glare, the polarizer on the lens will have no eect except
to add neutral density.
However, placing a polarizing lter over the light source will turn a direct
reection into polarized reection. A polarizer on the camera lens can then
manage the reection nicely.
