Additional subjects in the scene can also provide camouage. e reec-
tion of surrounding subjects in the metal can break up other reections that
we do not want the viewer to see.
If all the surrounding objects reected in Figure 6.30 were appropriate to
the scene, instead of studio tools, they might make good camouage. Small
subjects can also be put directly on top of a reection of a larger one.
Keeping the Light off the Camera
If the camera is kept in the dark, then it cannot see itself reected in the
subject. Whenever possible, conne the lighting to the subject. Long lenses
help. A camera farther from the subject is less likely to have extraneous light
falling on it.
