Additional subjects in the scene can also provide camouage. e reec-

tion of surrounding subjects in the metal can break up other reections that

we do not want the viewer to see.

If all the surrounding objects reected in Figure 6.30 were appropriate to

the scene, instead of studio tools, they might make good camouage. Small

subjects can also be put directly on top of a reection of a larger one.

Keeping the Light off the Camera

If the camera is kept in the dark, then it cannot see itself reected in the

subject. Whenever possible, conne the lighting to the subject. Long lenses

help. A camera farther from the subject is less likely to have extraneous light

falling on it.
