I use a couple of learning platforms, but I'm on O'Reilly more than anybody else. When you're there, you start learning. I'm never disappointed.I'm always learning. So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.

Before you try to decide where each project fits in the portfolio, ask, “Should we do this project at all?” If the answer is no, take the project off the list. If the answer is yes, select a way or ways to rank-order the projects in the portfolio. Take the time to ask this simple question of each and every project in your portfolio.
You may not feel as if you have the right to ask this question. You do.
If you’re a first-level manager in terms of influence, you have intimate knowledge of the project and the product it will create or extend.
