It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
Creating Graphic Objects
Each of the various object types available in Excel has strengths, idiosyncrasies, and issues you need to be aware of. In this section, we discuss these issues and describe the various object types in detail.
Drawing Freehand Lines and Polygons
The Line and Arrow buttons on the Drawing toolbar are extremely easy to use. Just click a button on the toolbar, and then click and drag to create the object on the worksheet. But to draw lines other than simple straight lines and arrows, choose AutoShapes, Lines.
The tools on the Lines submenu are as follows:
