It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
Managing Links
If an Excel workbook includes links to other documents, you can choose Edit, Links to summon the dialog box shown in Figure 21-8. The Edit Links dialog box lists all links in the current file, including links created by formula references to cells in other worksheets.

Choosing Automatic or Manual Update
The Automatic and Manual option buttons, near the bottom of the dialog box, control the manner in which your links are updated. If you choose Automatic (the only choice available for links with other Excel documents), your link is updated whenever the source changes. ...
