You can create a PivotTable from selected fields and records of an external data source in either of two ways. If you've already set up a query to an external source using Microsoft Query (or its simplified front-end, the Query Wizard), you will see the dialog box shown in Figure 30-35 before the data appears in Excel. (For information about using Microsoft Query and the Query Wizard, see "Creating a New Database Query".) Instead of selecting Existing Worksheet or New Worksheet in this dialog box, click the Create A PivotTable Report link.
