If you’re familiar with the way the iPhone and iPad work, you’ll find Launchpad works nearly identically. If you’re not familiar with the iPhone or iPad, you may find Launchpad a bit strange, so feel free to ignore it altogether if you wish, since you already know how to open applications via the Dock and the Applications folder.
If you like Launchpad, you can make your Macintosh display the Launchpad screen every time you log in to your account. To make Launchpad appear automatically, do this:
Click the Apple menu and choose System Preferences. The System Preferences window appears.
Click the Users & Groups icon under the System category. A Users & Groups window appears.
Click your account in the left pane.
