Sending and receiving email is a fun way to communicate with your friends and family members, but sometimes you may want instant communication. To satisfy your need for real-time communication, every Macintosh comes with a program called iChat. With iChat, you have a choice of chatting using text, audio, or video. Unlike FaceTime (see Chapter 49), iChat lets you engage in video chats with people who may be using non-Apple devices, such as a PC running Windows or Linux.
