So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
Forcing Your Macintosh to Sleep
If you know you’re going to be away from your Macintosh, you can wait for your Macintosh to go to sleep automatically or you can make it go to sleep right away.
If you have a laptop, the fastest way to make it go to sleep is to close the screen.
Of course, you can’t close up a desktop like a laptop, but you can use a shortcut keystroke combination that works on both desktops and laptops by just pressing option-
-eject.
