So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
Chapter 51. Learning About Your Macintosh
Look on the side of any software package and you’ll see the words System Requirements atop a list that defines the minimum hardware (hard disk size, memory) and software (OS X version) requirements that your Macintosh must meet to run that particular software. System requirements are useful, but only if you know enough about your Macintosh in the first place. If you don’t know which version of the Mac OS X operating system your computer is running or how much memory your computer has available, these system requirements won’t mean a whole lot.
