The Person Object

Within the confines of an OpenSocial container, a human being is represented by a Person object. The Person object is used to collect a user’s history, personality, and information in a single place. Depending on the container implementing the Person object, there may be a wide variation in what information makes up the Person object for a particular user. OpenSocial defines an array of data points for the user, as well as a series of helper methods for easily accessing that data, all of which are available from the global Person object.
