Lagom Service Locator
Lagom Framework has an embedded Service Locator in the development environment. It allows services to discover and communicate with each other. By default, this Service Locator runs on port 9008, but it is possible to use a different port.
The major goal or benefit of the Lagom Service Locator is to support Location Transparency. This means that the client does need to know where those services are available. Even though they are available remotely somewhere in a clustered environment, the client feels that they are available locally.
