It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
Akka's ActorMaterializer
In Akka Streams, we (as developers) are responsible for designing Graphs (or RunnableGraphs) to fulfill our requirements. So, who is responsible for running or executing those Graphs? The answer is Akka ActorMaterializer.
ActorMaterializer is useful for running or executing our Graphs or RunnableGraphs and gives us a value. This value is also known as materialized value.
The Akka Streams API has akka.stream.ActorMaterializer to support this feature.
