When I went on the O’Reilly platform, I was astonished to find all the books there, plus live events and sandboxes so you could play around with the technology.I’ve been on the O’Reilly platform for more than eight years. I use a couple of learning platforms, but I'm on O'Reilly more than anybody else. When you're there, you start learning. I'm never disappointed.I'm always learning. So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
Responsiveness
The last but very important trait is responsiveness. In Reactive systems, Responsive means reacting to the users or customers in a timely manner. Here, we should understand this point—a user should get a response when needed, otherwise they will lose interest and go for other options. In the current Reactive World, the following two things are the same:
- Not giving response to users when needed or in a timely manner
- Not giving any response to users at all
Even though our system does give a response to the user at a later time, the user does not need it then. Our system loses the users and ultimately, we lose our business.
In simple words, Responsive = React to users.
