I use a couple of learning platforms, but I'm on O'Reilly more than anybody else. When you're there, you start learning. I'm never disappointed.I'm always learning. So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
ConductR Bundle descriptor
When we run ConductR Sandbox's bundle:dist command with SBT, it does the following things:
- Compiles all component classes
- Creates a Bundle descriptor
- Creates a Bundle ZIP file by following some naming convention (refer to the previous section for more information)
Here, the Bundle descriptor plays a very vital role. Each Bundle (or package, component, service, or microservice) should have a Bundle descriptor.
A Bundle descriptor is a flat text file with the name bundle.conf. We can observe the following information in a descriptor:
- Bundle format version number.
- Component version number.
- Component name and its description.
- An Akka cluster role that corresponds with the component. For instance, web-server and ...
