So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
How Scala supports AP
We've now come to our actual topic of this chapter. The Scala language has many APIs to support AP. We will discuss the following two APIs in detail, with some useful examples:
- Scala Future API
- Scala Async API
Both asynchronous APIs support Concurrency and true Parallelism, very well. We will first discuss the Scala Future API in the next section.
What is true Parallelism really?
True Parallelism means supporting Parallelism very well by efficiently utilizing the underlying multi-core processors at a time.
