not what they say
ONCE A COACHING TOPIC IS AGREED, you’ve explored
the client’s motivation and how each part of the client will
help serve, not hinder, the goal, the next stage is to ensure
that a clear outcome is formed. Part of this is to play dev-
il’s advocate and test the goal to ensure that the client has
really thought through the purpose of the coaching and what
they want to achieve. Clients will often talk about what they
want to happen, but then go and behave in ways that are
