Cycling is accessible to a wide age group, environmentally friendly,
and a fast means of transport in urban areas. Cycling is also an effective
means of undertaking physical activity. It can be undertaken by a wide
variety of ages and is affordable.
However, a number of barriers, including environmental factors and
safety concerns, have been identied that are limiting greater participa-
