11.1 CHALLENGES OF URBAN FREIGHT TRANSPORT
There are growing concerns about environmental issues relating to
urban freight transport due to rising levels of congestion caused by the
increasing number of passenger and freight vehicles operating in urban
areas. The concentration of people in urban areas in many countries of
the world has accelerated this tendency.
