Geocoding of stops allows direct distances to be estimated for trip
stages, but the actual distance traveled depends on the paths traveled,
which are not generally provided and must be estimated. It is also
difcult to estimate the intensity of physical activity from walking
and riding (location of homes) since the exact location of households
is not accurately presented due to privacy reasons. The estimation of
times and locations is also not generally very accurate and short trips
are often under-reported.
Census data can be used to analyze the travel modes used to the
