Microsoft DNS
Microsoft DNS for Windows 2000 provides a rich set of new features. Although most of us may think that an Internet service that has been around as long as DNS has little room for improvement, Microsoft has worked with the organizations and standards bodies to create a product that is an improvement for DNS users, especially for those that are using Active Directory.
Microsoft's DNS provides for several new features beyond the DNS that is available with Windows NT 4.0. These features include the following:
