EnemiesUsing Blender to Make Robot Sprites
In this rather large chapter, you’ll start the development of enemies in DotGame. First, you’ll tackle enemy robots. Then, you’ll create spikers, blockades, and question marks. You’ll be using Blender to make them, and then you’ll export them as 2D sprites, ready for use in Unity. Finally, you’ll code the basic movement of the enemies and put in collision detection.
You’re going to spend only a moderate amount of time working on the graphics for this game at this early stage. Your goal is to make the game fun with simple graphics, and then, time permitting, you’ll replace the graphics with better, more elaborate versions.
