Do not use Fast User Switching to log out ofthe managed user’s account
during these exercises because updated preferences take effect only when a user logs
in,not when a Fast User Switching session is restored.
Restrict Access to Selected System Preferences
In the following steps, you will enable Pamela to access a selected number ofsystem
preferences.
1Log in as your local administrator, open Workgroup Manager, and select Pamela
Clark. Click the Preferences button in the toolbar, and click the Applications tab.
(This view will still be open ifyou just used Fast User Switching in the previous
exercise.)
