I use a couple of learning platforms, but I'm on O'Reilly more than anybody else. When you're there, you start learning. I'm never disappointed.I'm always learning. So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
Configuring Apple File Service
You use Server Admin to make a folder on your server computer and share it via AFP.
Set Up a Folder for Sharing
Before a folder can be shared via any protocol, you must set it up for sharing.
1 If it has not already been done, log in to the server and use the Finder to create a new
folder: /Shared Items/Apple File Services (where Apple File Services is the name of the
new folder in the /Shared Items folder).
You do not have to be physically located near your server to create share points, as
you will see later.
2 If Server Admin is not open on your Mac OS X computer, open it and connect to
your server as ladmin.
