The next step in our project is to take our cube and expand its sides to keep developing the basis for our chair. Until now, we have only worked with a mode in Blender called Object Mode. In that mode, you can only select and manipulate objects as a whole 3D mesh.
Every 3D mesh in Blender has three primary subcomponents that we can use to model:
How do we access those subcomponents? To see and manipulate them, we must change the work mode from Object to Edit. At the bottom of your 3D View, you can choose the work mode you want using the selector highlighted in the following screenshot:
