It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
Using pie menus in Blender 2.8
Among the new features of Blender 2.8, pie menus, offer a quick way to change modes and pick selection types in the program. An essential aspect of pie menus is that it is an Add-on for Blender. What is an Add-on?
This is something like a plugin for Blender, written in Python. With an Add-on, you can easily choose whether you want it as part of Blender or not. All add-ons in Blender have a control panel where you can enable and disable them.
To open that panel you have to use the Edit menu and choose User Preferences….
There you will use a tab called Add-ons, and from the list on the left, you can pick the category of a particular add-on that you want to control. What if you don't know the location of an add-on? ...
