To demonstrate the power of the 3D Cursor, we can use it to place the chair model, created in the previous chapter, precisely on the floor.
In Blender, an origin point for objects is the reference location used to determine location and pivot points for both rotation and scale.
- The first step is to set the origin point for the model, on the legs' lower faces.
- Select the chair model and change the mode to Edit. In Edit Mode, select only the lower faces of the chair legs. You can use the B key to make a border selection.
