Loading – A huge amount of data is loaded into the data warehouse, as it integrates
time-varying data from multiple sources. Further, the time interval when the data ware-
house can be taken offl ine for loading data is usually insuffi cient. Also, while loading
data, indexes and summary tables are required to be rebuilt. The loading process allows
system administrators to monitor the status, cancel, suspend, resume loading or change
the loading rate, and restart loading after failures without any loss of data integrity.
