A problem is only a problem when it has (potential) organizational consequences. For example, a low level of job satisfaction may only be a problem if it negatively affects a company’s business objectives (for example, patient outcomes, innovation or net profit margin) or the interests of its stakeholders (for example, employee well-being, share price or demands for community services). It is therefore critical that you clearly state how the problem (potentially) affects important aims and outcomes.
